Hiz Kidz
Thursday afternoons during term time, between 5:45pm  and 7pm, normally finds 40 to 50 five to eleven year old year children (sometimes more) gathering at the Church for Hiz Kidz.
Hiz Kidz is a mix of Bible teaching, craft and prayer and is thoroughly enjoyed by all the youngsters who attend. The team is headed up by Judy Moore-Crispin who has worked with and developed friendships with many of the Hiz Kidz families over the years.
Hiz Kidz started in the Autumn term of 2000 following an eventful summer programme (Adventure - now Hiz Kidz on Holiday) during which many children expressed a great interest to know more about God. In response, the church felt that it was being called by God to establish something more than a simply an entertainment based children’s club and Hiz Kidz was born. Its goal is to help children get to know God through the Bible and prayer.
Many of the children develop a great enthusiasm for the Bible. Periodically a Bible presentation is held when they bring their parents and families along to witness them receive their own Bible. At the time of writing, over 100 Bibles have been presented.
Judy has known many of the families for many years, having started her working life in the Nursery School at the local school, Westbury JMI, which unfortunately in 2009 has had to close. She is an experienced Children’s worker and has worked in local schools on a one-to-one basis with many children, she has also worked on short term projects in the Philippines and has organised and run children’s events at Christian conferences in France and Germany.
