Sundays

The church has a firm emphasis on teaching and preaching  as is evident from the structure of our Sundays. Sunday preaching is available on-line

English Speaking All-Age-Teaching - 10am to 10:40am

Sunday meetings commence with All-Age-Teaching at 10am for 40 minutes with material specifically suited for each age range but focused on building up a deep understanding and appreciation of Biblical teaching, suited to living a Christian life in the current times. The groups, supported by a crèche as required, are:

  • 3yrs – 5yrs
  • 6yrs to 9yrs
  • 9yrs to 11yrs
  • 12 yrs to 16 yrs
  • Adults

The adult teaching is normally undertaken by pastor Derek Moore-Crispin although from time to time other members of the church or visiting speakers lead the teaching.

English Speaking Morning Worship – 11am to 12 noon

After a 20 minute break and refreshments Morning Worship begins at 11am. This is aimed to suit the whole family although is not always a family service. We feel very strongly that we are a family and encourage young families to feel comfortable in the service. We find the presence of children a great joy.

The service typically follows a three part model of

  • Ministering to God through praise and worship with a time of worship employing a mix of modern and traditional songs and hymns.
  • God ministering to us through the Bible through an inspirational fifteen to twenty minute talk aimed to involve all ages.
  • Ministering to each other through prayer, which often allows the opportunity to pray for each other in small groups.

Twice a month we celebrate communion during this service.

Cantonese Speaking Service and Fellowship – 2pm to 4pm

The Cantonese speaking service is led by pastor David Chan and provides an opportunity for Cantonese speakers to receive teaching and to worship God in their mother tongue. Mandarin and English translation is available.

Once a month this is followed by extended fellowship hosted in a member’s home.

Lighthouse (First Sunday - 4:30pm to 6pm)

Lighthouse is an informal time for families of all ages to learn more about Jesus Christ and his message of hope for all people and to be supported through prayer for their specific needs.

Potter’s Hand (Third Sunday- 5pm to 6pm and perhaps beyond)

Our goal of Potter’s Hand is to spend Potters-Hand informal worship and prayertime in God’s presence in a less structured way to help us become more Christ-like members of the Kingdom of God.  It provides an opportunity to explore praise, prayer, testimony and ministry as well as listen to God. It normally comprises a time of worship and the opportunity to minister to others by sharing a testimony or something that the Lord has “laid on a heart”. Often the Lord speaks into the meeting which provides a focus for prayer.

The objective is that as a people we become more devoted to God and more faithful in exercising a Spirit led life and ministry.

Chill & Chat (7pm to8:30pm)

Chill & Chat is an informal time of fellowship for youngsters from Year 7. It meets at various homes on Sunday evening during term time.

As it name implies it is a time for youngsters to meet together to enjoy each other’s company and develop friendships.

Whole Church Gatherings

From time to time the whole church, English and Chinese speaking gathers together for dual language service providing a united time of worship, teaching and fellowship.

These normally happen in the afternoons and when they do the morning services are normally set aside for the day.
