Transform 2010: August 23rd– August 29th 

Transform is Letchworth Baptist Church’s summer programme.  Since 1978 this annual programme has been focused on children and teenagers, most recently with Hiz Kidz on Holiday and Breakout. In 2009 it was extended to include Serve. What used to be a week for children and teenagers became all-age.

Hiz Kidz on Holiday, Breakout and Serve are run for the benefit of the local community and are manned by members of Letchworth Baptist Church and friends, who give up one week of their holiday each year to serve the community. As in previous years we have been generously supported by  the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation.

Hiz Kidz on Holiday  This is a children’s event in the style of the weekly Hiz Kidz and is for children from 5 years old to 11 years old. It will be held between 10am and 12:15p Monday to Friday at St Francis College. The fun daily programme included the usual Hiz Kidz craft, activities, Bible stories and games Come along and join the fun. Hiz Kidz on Holiday is FREE OF CHARGE   Breakout  Breakout is a Monday to Friday event for youngsters of between 11 and 15 years of age and will conclude with finale and BBQ on Saturday evening between 5:30pm and 9:30pm.  It will be held at Letchworth Baptist Church in West View between 2:15pm and 4:15pm The daily programme includes fun activities, indoor and outdoor games, the ever enjoyed Friday man hunt and  Bible based talks, all geared towards young people. Breakout is FREE OF CHARGE. If you are in the age range, come along and see..... How to Manage Your Budget This is a friendly look at how to use budgeting as a way to take control of your finances and reduce life’s stresses. It’s led by Alison Ertl from Biggleswade Baptist Church who works as a CAP advisor helping people with budgeting problems in Biggleswade. You will have an opportunity to learn how budgeting can help and how to go about making and managing a budget for your domestic finances. Its on Wednesday 25th August at Letchworth Baptist Church between 10:15am and 11:30am and its FREE OF CHARGE.  Feel free to just show up. Serve! Serve is about showing God’s love to the local community through practical help. During the Transform week Serve teams will take on gardening and other odd jobs for folk who would value assistance. Like everything else about Transform its FREE OF CHARGE. We have limited capacity so help is offered on a first come first served basis but priority will be given to the elderly, infirmed and disabled. Bible Reading - Hebrews 11: The Five Faces of Faiths Monday to Friday between 9:00am and 10:00am at St Frances College, Michael Wilcock, an elder at Letchworth Baptist Church, will lead a Bible Reading address looking at each of the “Five Faces of Faiths” to be found in Hebrews Chapter 11: Creation Faith Saving Faith Faith Walk Venture Faith Future Faith
